I am Sharon Fernandes. My hometown is Marlborough, Massachusetts so I am not used to the constant humid weather and daily rain. I'm somewhat athletic I played three sports in high school lacrosse, volleyball and field hockey. I am bilingual-Portuguese and English, and I have been to Rio de Janeiro. To be honest I didn't really know what to expect from this class, I had no idea it'd be focused on blogging but it seems interesting because I have never blogged before so lets see how this goes.
Creativity Cuero has many valid points in his interview. He claims that parents have given the teachers responsibility to stir the creativity in the their children, and that they do not put in the effort to take the time to talk about things that would influence intellectualism. That is very true, you go to a restaurant and you see that children and their parents are both on their phones, barely conversation but instead scrolling through social media. Although I do disagree with Cuero when he says creativity can only come from nature. Creativity especially nowadays is, if anything, found more than in just nature. People's creativity can come in all forms and aspects of life now that technology plays a big part of our lives. People can b...
I have only ever been to one broadway show in my life which was Mary Poppins. It was the first time I have ever been to a musical and it was a great experience. I saw how all the songs played a huge part in the story and also just how catchy the songs are too. The song that stuck with me the most was "Spoon Full of Sugar", it was stuck in my head for a while after. Although a show I feel I must see some day is definitely The Lion King. Not only am I a huge Disney fan and want Simba to be my pet lion but I have seen the trailer and the production seems so amazing. I think the meaning behind the lion king is so important, aside from the obvious lesson: Hakuna Matata, the over all meaning is that we are all apart of the circle of life and that change is inevitable. Seeing these things come to life must be quite the emotional rollercoaster. Mary Poppins being my only experience thus far with theatre, The Lion King WILL be the next.
